Wolfe Ridge Farm takes in and provides a stable environment for abandoned and unwanted roosters. Every rooster that comes to Wolfe Ridge Farm has its own personality, needs and challenges.  We evaluate each individual for disease/lameness, temperament, and age.  Age plays a big roll in rooster behavior and will help determine where they are housed.  Sick or injured roosters are isolated and evaluated.  Those that have a fighting chance are nurtured back to health for placement in a permanent coop, based on personality and age.

 

There is no shortage of unwanted roosters in our community.  Part of our ongoing commitment is to buildout and expand our housing facilities, so that we can accommodate as many unwanted roosters as we can, while maintaining safe, clean and health housing.
